Requesting Help:Direct: "Naku sahayam cheyyi" (Help me)
Indirect: "Meeru sahayam chesthe bagundu" (It would be good if you could help)
Asking for a Favor:Direct: "Naku pustakam ivvu" (Give me the book)
Indirect: "Meeru pustakam istaara?" (Could you give me the book?)
Declining an Invitation:Direct: "Nenu raaledu" (I am not coming)
Indirect: "Ravadam kastam" (It’s difficult to come)
Expressing Disagreement:Direct: "Adi tappu" (That’s wrong)
Indirect: "Naku alage anipinchadam ledu" (I don't feel the same)
Suggesting an Idea:Direct: "Ila cheyyali" (Do it this way)
Indirect: "Ila chesthe ela untundi?" (How would it be if we do it this way?)
